I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship and the inherent resilience and strength each person holds. I work from a trauma-informed and psychodynamic perspective, understanding that life’s experiences shape and impact who we are and how we function immensely. Over time and through these various experiences, many of us develop maladaptive coping strategies and unhelpful beliefs, and can sometimes lose sight of our resilience and inner knowing. I hope to help my clients tap into support systems around them and to recognize their own strength, ability, and worth. Through mindfulness, thoughtful discipline and therapeutic intervention, each of us is capable of correcting and redirecting unhelpful thinking patterns, and finding our strength and meaning again. It is never too late to have a fresh start in finding meaning and connection, and creating a life worth living. I genuinely care for the individuals I work with, and can be relied on to show warmth, empathy, and understanding throughout our work together. It is important to me that my clients feel heard, cared for, and respected as we work together as equals to solve problems, implement changes, and create an improved sense of self and contentment with life.

I specialize in working with trauma, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (pregnancy/postpartum), faith transitions, depression, grief, self esteem, and other life transitions or stressors. I work with adolescents and adults from age 14 and up. I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness approaches, dependent on the needs of each individual client.
